Kim Kardashian goes Xtreme!!

Kim Kardashian is like the Liz Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, etc of our time and she was in El Paso putting some sizzle to our already wild nights!!!  The public loves her just like the cameras loved them and their lives.  Honestly, the girl has some good genes (I was gonna say assets)!!!  Her face, her hourglass body, her smile, her hair (so what if they’re extensions, they’re the good kind), her teeth, her glutes, and for the icing on this KupcaKe is her reality show, her style and her tweets (she gave a little shout out to El Paso when she arrived last Friday)… she is like the perfect “Latina” even though she’s not hispanic, but because she’s got dark gypsy features like alot of us Mexican women do, she is relatable to us.  And, ofcourse, we all know what the men love about her (besides the sex tapes!!)!!

Congratulations to the collaborators of this event: Xtreme Entertainment, for making a contribution to El Paso’s nightlife, fashion, and local economy.  As far as the entertainment standards go, this event was a success. This event was pulled off  Vegas style and if you’ve ever been to the hottest clubs in Vegas then you know how it goes:  some entertainer is hired to “host” on a specific night; the host then talks on the mic for a few (but she/he is basically getting paid to party there for publicity); and you (the fans) pay to party there with no guarantee that you will be “partying together”…

So what are people blasting negative energies on the promoters for?? On TV, they’re talkin’ bout, “promoters didn’t do a good job” and “why didn’t they donate more money” etc.  As promoters, you don’t even have to donate anything to anyone especially when you are unsure of how successful your event will be.

There are also overhead costs that must be accounted for and reinvestment in future events.  Just for the record, the job description of a promoter is to “promote” (hence, their name–look it up) an artist, entertainer, talent, celebrity, etc.  Kim is a marketable product and Xtreme Entertainment  has utilized her ability to sell through her beauty, sex appeal, and attainability.  If people want to pay to look at her and hang out where she “hangs out” then they should know it’s not a “meet-n-greet”.  It is also not the promoters job to control the DJ’s bad taste in music (that’s the club, honey), or give Kim’s fans access to her, or make her leave her VIP section (why would she want to anyway!) to dance next to a sweaty shoulder in the mosh pit of an estimated 1500+ people!!

In the entertainment industry, there is always room for improvement but successes should also be noted and praised.  There have been “entertainers” who have been much more controversial brought to El Paso and those promoters have not been addressed with such backlash.  I think it’s time to spit that venom out yo’mouths and stop hatin’.  If you think you can do better then stop talkin’ and start promotin’ (and no, I do not personally know the promoters).

haters love to hate…

Apparently you were not even at the event. I suggest that you not quit your day job and leave the critiques and reviews for professionals. We in El Paso are proud of Power 102 who provided exceptional music the night of Kim K’s appearance and agree with KFOX and and ELPASO TIMES on the lack of professionalism demonstrated at this event. A word of advice for XTREME, do not make promises to the public that you can and will not keep.

Are you two the same person, up there? MM and LOL@U— I’m “LOL”ing at the both of you for being so stupid. I mean really? “We” in el paso, this guey, who do you think you are, the mayor? You can’t speak for all of us, i am very proud of power 102 too but their music is not as “new” as cities like Dallas or Phoenix. So, I dont know about “exceptional” music that night. In general, I would say Power 102’s music is good, great, yes, maybe. The DJ’s should travel more often to bring in new beats and songs. Sometimes, I’ve heard music WAYYYY before they play it on the radio here– but then again im always looking up new artists and hearing new beats.

AnywayS, explain to those of us, who were not in attendance, how there was a “lack of professionalism at this event” because i still cannot figure out why everyone is so angry about Kim Kardashian coming to El Paso instead of being, I dont know, excited? Maybe?

I mean, I’m not dumb, I am not going to pay $45 to “see” ANYONE (unless its Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Mana, Black Eyed Peas, or Shakira IN concert and performing). Don’t get me wrong, I love the Kardashians and lookin’ at her pretty little face (like all of us, queers do) and would totally scream and take a picture with her if i saw her at the airport!!! But, there ARE those fans who would and do pay and more power to them and those people who bring it here. So, before you “buy” tickets, consumers, read the fine print!

Overall, I think it was cool that Kim Kardashian visited El Paso, too bad she didnt hang out with us at the Toolbox afterparty and judge the “Kim Kardashian” look-alike contest!! ;(

Oh, and “LOL@U”, Im not even addressing your stupidity
